Things were pretty hectic around my house lately and at work etc. I couldn't keep up with being on SparkPeople every day too. So I had to step back. I tried to be good about dieting and exercise though. I'd walk about 15-20 minutes during my lunch and try to eat healthy foods. I had to stop with the bike rides because the weather here got so hot. I don't do well in heat and humidity, I get terrible migraines even when just walking to my car after work.
I also started having some pretty severe back and hip pain. So I finally couldn't stand it anymore and went to the chiropractor to see if something couldn't be done. Well turns out my back was so out of whack that I wasn't walking or sitting or standing correctly causing my left hip muscles and joints to do some funky things. Since all of that had been going on for over 3 years my quad muscles shortened as well as my siatic nerve. Well needless to say I've been going to the chiropractor for several weeks now, doing stretches, trying to take it easy on what exercises I do etc. I'm slowly getting better and my leg joints have loosened somewhat so now instead of a half inch difference in my legs there is only a quarter inch now,
I'm even starting to exercise again, only once again going easy on the left leg and only doing what I'm comfortable with. Next week I'm going to start a RIPT program through work. 10 weeks of cardio and strength training classes as well as nutrition planning. I have an informational meeting next Tuesday and also weigh in that day. Then start classes next Wednesday. I'm excited.
I haven't been gaining any weight but I haven't been losing either. Like I keep saying the numbers on the scale don't worry me so much as I would like to tone and tighten up. I do cardio fine its just the strenght training that I lack at home so hopefully this 10 week program will get me going and I can keep it up after its finished. I have no excuses other than laziness.
