Four Month Anniversary

Monday, August 27, 2012

It's my four month anniversary for aquatic aerobics. Who thought I was going to keep it up this long? Even a silly duck like me can accomplish anything with the right motivation.

YOU can do whatever you set your minds to, Sparkers. Every day you try, every ounce of energy you put in, will pay off.

emoticon Most of the basic moves are now familiar.
emoticon I attend three times a week... usually.
emoticon Still no weight loss or apparent muscle tone change. >:(
emoticon One bathing suit destroyed by chlorine.
emoticon Weakest at reverse cross-country skiing or backwards running.
emoticon Favourite move is the L-sit "hand wave" -- sitting with legs straight out, and "waving" both hands simultaneously to propel yourself without kicking. I lap 75% of the class when I take off like a shark. >.>
emoticon I can now elliptical on two high-density pool noodles - the hardest move!
emoticon Longest single elliptical streak: 12 minutes! O.o
emoticon Longest elliptical streak 6 classes ago: 32 bitter seconds.
emoticon One photo appearance in a magazine (staring at the ceiling, Mom would be so proud).
emoticon Couldn't live without my prescription goggles and long-hair bathing cap.
emoticonMusic usually stuck in my head: Britney Spears
emoticonFavourite finishing song: "The Cave," Mumford and Sons

Way to go! I've never tried aquatic aerobics yet - maybe one day I will. I didn't realize you could get prescription goggles - you learn something new every day! And where's this famous photo of you from the magazine?
