My Personal Mantra- I Touched the Snake

In the last few weeks I posted about conquering my biggest phobia and how it has helped me to take it into other parts of my life. I find I am still using it when faced with something I fear. I keep repeating to myself- "I touched the snake" This morning I had to give myself an injection that I had trouble with last week. Since I expect to be on this medication for quite a long time I know I have to deal with it. This morning I was able to do the injection with very little trouble and it didn't hurt as bad as last time. Part of that is by mistake last week I used my inner thigh as the injection site and due to working out a lot i found out the hard way I had more muscle down there than I realized and that is what hurt. So today i used my belly area- lots of fat there and so it didn't bother me this morning nearly as much.
So I have learned that facing your fears can have some long term benefits.
