well you think i would have thought after 31/2 years on spark lol.what am i talking about you might ask?well about how much carbs are in fruit and veg lol.
well three days ago i accidently joined spark coach by mistake,glad i did but sorry that i probably wont be able to afford it after the two week trail is over but a very good thing has come out of it.for the first time (tried a couple of times in the past but found it too complicated)so for the first time doing more that one day i am on day 3 of tracking my food with the sp tracker.i know the calories of things even the fat as i have a jevers fat and calorie table but i never knew that 100g of my frozen berries had 20 grams carbs.here was me thinking i was following a low carb diet by not having bread(or very seldom)and when the kids had their noodles at night i would have a veggie or fruit alternative only to find now from tracking they had as much and sometimes more carbs than the noodle,lol.call me daft even though i have been on this journey 31/2 years and in that time lost 135 lbs i still didnīt know.i would have lost a lot more than the 135lbs if it hadnīt been for all the yoyoing i have been doing in that time.i guess if i am honest i was before still in a diet modus instead of a life style change.how can that be after being so long on spark?am i stupid or just blind not seeing all of this in the various great articles of sp.ANYWAY the tide has turned i am in this for the long haul not just till i loose the weight then revert back to old habits.tracking has opened my eyes also the book by linda spangle,a 100 days of weight loss.which i am reading at the moment and think is a good read for anyone who has an emotional eating problem like me.i donīt agree with all her suggestions but a majority of them made sense or gave food for thought.a few of them was so simple you think dah why didnīt i see that lol.so here is to my next 50lb loss and getting to goal no matter how long it takes(as long as it is in the next 21/2 years as i want to be a fit funky fifty and not a fat and flabby one like i am in my fourties.)so hereīs to my next - 50lbs and hereīs to us all having an open mind as we are never too old to learn and astound like me with the amount of CARBS in fruit and veg,lol.keep on keeping on my friends.take care and keep smiling.
