Augh, I feel like I'm writing an anti-inspiration blog. Today I weighed in and was up .4 pounds from last week. Not a huge surprise I guess, given the fact that I did not get as much exercise as I had planned, and that I'm with my Best Friend this week as well. But I was hoping for better.

I did go for a walk/jog with JJ while he rode his scooter, half an hour of brisk walking being better than just nothing. Now it's time for a shower and some time spent resting and recreating, and hopefully sleeping. Really I must shake off these blues and do better.

    We have to go with the flow. You may not have gained anything at all but perhaps ate to much salt the last couple of days. Don't beat yourself up, you're doing great. Anything less than a pound or two isn't really a gain.

    I think breaking the hold the scale has on our feelings about ourselves is one of the toughest steps we have to take: and the one that promotes the most long-term success. emoticon

That metal monster will do whatever it wants to do, but if we stick with what we know is good for us... balanced eating, activity, hydration and rest... the BODY will be fine. Hang that scale!

    Bodies can be fickle. Stick to your good habits and try to enjoy being healthy, no matter what the scale says.
