My son Brian's wedding went very well. Here's the break-down:
We discovered during rehearsal on Friday night that granddaughter, Ona, was more than a little hesitant to walk down the aisle as the miniature bride with the miniature groom. Since she's very close to me (we have her pretty much every Tuesday evening and from Friday to Saturday night or Sunday every week) I suggested that I would walk down the aisle with her and the mini groom. It wasn't that I wanted to, but it would be the best way to handle the situation.
As it was, the grandmothers and the mom's would be escorted down the aisle at the beginning of the processional and the bride's mother and I would have to go up to the alter to light the tapers that Brian and Tracie would use to light the unity candle. This meant two trips up the aisle for me. Ack! I am glad I lost that 31 pounds before the wedding as I felt more comfortable in my skin.
Here's Brian before the ceremony:
Anyway, here are walking down the aisle photos:
The first is younger son Mark walking his grandma's down the aisle (my mom is the lovely white-haired lady), then is me and Zach. Zach is a good friend of Brian who started out in my daycare years ago - he and Bri have been friends ever since. Then me and Ona and the mini groom ( I was looking down in all the photos. LOL). And then the bride, Tracie, with her younger brother - her dad passed several years ago.

I love this photo of my mom and boys:

At the reception, I pulled my sisters and mom up to dance. We had a great time. That was something I wouldn't have done before Spark!!
