Well, this week has gone better. I weighed myself this morning and I was down 2.4 lbs!

Food-wise Sunday and Monday were not so good, but I worked at staying within my range for the rest of the week. Still struggling with not going over my sodium and getting enough calcium. I didn’t go terribly over or under, so that is an improvement. I am very proud of myself for how I did yesterday. We had a breakfast pot luck. There were fried eggs, bacon, Portuguese sausage, link sausage, pan fried country potatoes, waffles, and various topping for the waffles. I knew it would have been very easy to over indulge. My contribution was fresh blueberries. I decided to bring ½ cup nonfat Greek yogurt with a tsp. of honey and I brought my scale. I also made sure I had a good lunch, so I wouldn’t go back and pick at the breakfast leftovers. My breakfast was 1 waffle with the yogurt and honey spread over it and topped with blueberries. I weighed both the waffle and the blueberries. I had coffee with half & half and 1 slice of bacon and 1 sausage link. Every bit was recorded. I had entered my lunch ahead of time so I was able to see where I was, range wise, before deciding to eat the bacon and sausage, and allowing myself to have those “treats” kept me from going to town on them (I LOVE bacon and sausage, the greasier the better). I made the decision to have a large salad for dinner and managed to stay within range, though I was a little short on fiber and calcium. The last time we had a breakfast potluck, I totally pigged out. Today is a lunch pot luck, and I brought one of my favorite Spark Recipes, Quinoa and Black Bean Salad. I also brought my own main dish. I love my co-worker’s cooking, but it is very hard to figure the nutritional value, especially with the ethnic dishes. I really want to keep the momentum going.

Sunday, I once again rode from work to Waipahu. I rode for 40 minutes M, T, & W. Thursday I made myself go out and ride, even though it was raining. I needed to burn at least 497 more calories to make my weekly goal. I was miserable as heck, but goal met. I plan to ride after work again today.

I followed my co-worker’s advice and got me some digestive enzyme supplements. I also got a probiotic supplement. The probiotic is daily, but I have to take the other with each meal (makes sense). I am working on remembering to do that, and I can definitely tell when I have forgotten, and I feel better when I do take it, so it must be helping.

So, here’s to another good week. I really hope I can manage to drop below 170 by the end of the month.

Great job on working with your calories! I'm still struggling to get back on board, but I am making sure to at least be honest and track everything.

And great job with the biking! I did bike to work today, but that's a measly 1.25 miles! LOL

Good luck on dropping below 170!!
