I have been feeling a bit bloated since adding more carbohydrates to my meals because of the long distance running. However, I am so bloated that I cannot fit into my regular jeans! I have tried reducing the carbohydrates a bit, watching the sodium, even did 3 soaks in Epsom salt to see if that would help (20-30 minutes).
I am thinking about doing a body cleanse to see if that helps, not due to PMS or pregnancy!!!! (we are both fixed!) either...just weird. My feet aren't swollen, so I know its not edema or extra water weight. I also take a water pill, because I am known to retain about 15lbs of extra water, which the doctor gave me a Rx for. The doctor said that high water retention is going to impact the kidneys and the heart if I am not careful!
I can't really reduce carbs right now, otherwise Ill be stuck in a rut with all the training. I am getting between 150-200 grams a day, nothing sugar, nothing white either! No bread, mostly fiber from beans, and veggies along with some brown rice and oatmeal. I use beano, just incase the extra veggies and beans are causing gas....which I don't think the issue is! I use the raw oatmeal brand that has quinoa, flax and rolled oats in it. The peanut butter I use is for diabetics, it has no added sugars, just ground unsalted peanuts.
Picked up a Women's World magazine today, and I found a fast acting summer detox menu, not to sure I want to try it though...I don't know if Ill end up in the bathroom LOL!!
Anyone have suggestions? I don't want to go to GNC and spend $50 on a 2 day cleanse and it not work! Let me know if anyone has had this problem or knows how to solve it!
