Progress Pics for August

I weighed myself at the gym today and I'm at 151 !!! WOOO! This is exciting! Only ten more pounds to go! I've hardly done any cardio except maybe 20 minutes once a week on the treadmill or a 5 minute warm up. I've been focusing mainly on strength and eating properly. I've toned up quite a bit! When I was at my lowest last year at around 142 ish, I still wasn't happy with my body and I started to gain weight back. Cardio helped me lose weight but strength training has helped me get the body I've always wanted! Still working on my stubborn stomach which refuses to lose fat but I'm not giving up! Anyway, here are my august pics compared to ones I took sometime in May.

May (aka the before pics)
weight: between 155 - 158

August (the after pics):
weight: 151 lbs

Some of the changes I notice are my butt is smaller and has waaaay less cellulite on it! (thank god!) My waist has also shrunk a bit and my back muscles show more. I think overall I'm just more toned. I've only lost about 4 pounds but I put on some muscle. It's hard to tell in the pictures but I've lost an inch and a half on my thighs. Also, here's a pic of the dress I wore to Harley's cousins wedding:

Anyway, did triceps and chest today at the gym. My arms are super sore! I start school tomorrow (yikes!) I'm looking forward to it! 2 more years then I'll be done and on my career path as an animal vet tech. =)

    Sweet!! Awesome progress :) - Yay for Strength Training!!! Such good results and proof you don't have to kill yourself with Cardio to get a hot body! Oh and proper diet is a huge part of it as well, keep up the good work!

    Looking hot! I always find that lifting weights does a better job than cardio- even though the scale may not reflect that!

    All that without much cardio and only a 4-7 pound loss? That's amazing. I notice not only the changes you mentioned, but you also look like you have much less body fat - not that you didn't look great before, but you look very slender now. To achieve that with only losing 4-7 pounds you must have lost a lot of fat and gained a lot of muscle. Congratulations!!

    Wo....! You can really see the toning is working for you. Stick with it! The results you are showing are amazing...Truly...Perhaps the abs are tightening more with the strengthening. You definitely rocked the Lil black dresss. Get it going and keep it up! The results are to be celebrated because these results are fabulous! emoticon

    You look fantastic girl. I'm lifting heavy and have been for a few months. I've only lost 3 pounds but I look better with less cardio. I'm with you girl. I am going to incorporate more cardio this next week because we are going to the beach....trying to find my abs as well. :) Keep it up
