An Excuse is an Excuse is a Excuse..

Sunday, August 26, 2012

Spark has been talking about ways you can overcome excuses not to work out.. let's face it if we dont get fitness in then who can we reach our goals..? I have been challenged in that department. I on the other hand want to work out and going for my daily 4 mile walk or bike ride seems to be that I am doing my part.
but am I? and I really getting in a good work out? then on days that I work and really do not have time to work out I say "well I worked today and I have no time" do I really not have time? and is riding my bike and or walking enough..
Spark says all you need is 10 minutes a day you can do 3 or 4 10 minute works outs to get you closer to your goal.
So no matter what my reason or "excuse" is.. I can get fitness in. even if it is just a 10 minute march in place lifting my leg and arms work out..

This week starting today NO more excuse for me..
I am moving at last 10 minutes or more a day.
The Challenge is to do it each day.. every day this week.

Have a Great week everyone

I completely understand. Some days are just a little tougher than others, but any little bit helps. Keep up the good work!

Sometimes we get gripped by the need to be perfect, that unless we work out HARD and sweat like a sauna, then we're not good enough. Nonsense. Our bodies want to move, that's all. If we're working our heart and keeping our muscles warm and limber, we're doing ourselves a favor. Ease up on yourself. As you do more you want to do even more. There are days when we're so busy a walk or a bike ride will have to do. An then there are other days you can fit in a sweaty hard work out. The point is that it has to fit your lifestyle and be an activity you want to engage in. You rock!

This morning I asked my 8 year old if he wanted to come running with me....his response..."Mom, my arm hurts!" I just laughed and went running :)
