40 By Spring Semester - A 4 Month Challenge

Well I did it again. I dropped my class that I would have to go to in person and picked up another online class. My reason for doing this? It's fairly a simple one...I need to lose weight! Not that I feel like I will be judged in any way, but for my comfort sake I want to be down at least 40 pounds before I start back taking classes in person.

Since I am starting my last year of school, I have to take the class next semester so that I can graduate on time. My plan for the next four months (September - December) will be simple:

+ Food - I plan on eating 1600 - 1800 calories a day. I will not add too much salt or eat too much processed food. I will keep my eating out to one meal a week and to have a treat on Friday.

+ Exercise - I will follow my Turbo Fire program as scheduled. I have been having a hard time with staying motivated with this, so I will be making a calendar that will be able to mark off each day that I do a workout. Keeping myself accountable the best way I can.

+ Water - I will drink at least 64 ounces of water a day and eventually work up to 100 ounces. The best way for me to do this is to workout as I tend to get in my water goal on these days.

+ Sleep - I need to make sure to go to bed as soon as I get home from work and not get distracted with being online or doing homework. I will do my updating after I eat my breakfast.

+ Blog - To keep myself accountable I am going to blog about my progress at least twice a week. Since I am back in school I will need to spend more time studying.

This is going to be a very interesting fall semester as I work to get myself physically ready for next semester. I can't wait to see just how much I will change.

    I will join you in this. I am going to be starting classes Sept 19th and need to drop the same amount ( I want to be looking good in that wedding dress). I just set up some goals for September. I am going to be logging in more consistently let's help keep each other motivated and on task!

    I can understand how you feel about classwork. I have been going to school off and on since 2004. I had an embarrassing experience with a lassroom desk. Thank goodness, my school has come into the 21st century. They recognize that the population has gotten larger and most class rooms have chairs and tables. In addition, they updated the desk which are now made for the current population size. I weigh in excess of 300 lbs and I am 66 yrs young but share some of the same feelings you have about the classroom. But then I remember why I am in school.

    It does not matter what your weight, height, coloring or other there are people who will say or do anything re other people because that is their make-up it has more to do with their self-hatred than it does with you. Have a grt school yr.
