Update and Gratitude...

Sunday, August 26, 2012

This is a post I made on my Shooting Stars 5% Challenge Team. I'm copying it here for others to see. This is where I am right now. From today...Forward.

"I appreciate this challenge. I look forward to gaining insights into what worked (my health numbers are still good according to my many checkups lately. So that is still a positive to celebrate. However, my walking has become more difficult because of what my podiatrist identified as neuromas on the bottom of my left foot. He believes the painful lumps on my foot are benign. He provided circle like adhesive backed pads to use around each painful lump to keep the weight/pressure off the areas. He said it could be up to 3 months for them to heal, if they do. I have an appt with him in 6 weeks to see if this is actually helping and if I need an ultrasound to see what is going on. He did say that sometimes surgery is required...that I don't want to consider. So, long story not any longer, I have had trouble walking, I didn't stick to my food plan as much as I have in the past, I regained some weight that I had previously lost. I take heart in moving forward and making positive changes in those areas that I can control. I commit to keeping a positive focus. And, to keep on keeping on. I am grateful for Sparkpeople. I am grateful for this challenge and, I am especially grateful for the Shooting Stars.."

don't give up , I'm sure you'll find something to work . don't say you don't want to consider surgery . I did the same with the gallbladder and after 10 years of torture I did it and it was SO easy and SO good after that . but maybe it won't be necessary . my back is still not healed and my activity is not stellar, I cleaned the house yesterday cause I'll leave again for a month and I couldn't stand the dirt and the mess and this morning is back to unbearable pain again.I am considering surgery but I hope I won't have to do it cause I don't have anyone to take care of me . I hope you can find a solution that works ad don't give up on you.
