I am totally shocked! Went out to eat at Subway today for lunch with my hubby since it's his first of 3 days off. Ended up ordering my usual footlong before even thinking about my food tracking.... but I remembered as the girl was putting double meat on my FOOTLONG sub... oops. So instead of going back and looking silly and asking her to waste what she had already cut and put on, I tried to make it a bit healthier than I usually do. So no cheese this time and no ranch. Went with some fat free honey mustard sauce instead and added green peppers to my usual spinach, lettuce, and black olives. I was SO hungry! Kept telling myself I should only eat half and leave the other half for later.... But... talking to my hubby and eating... well I finished and felt full and looked down and the whole thing was gone! I immediately felt like such a pig! So much for trying to crack down and portion. :_( I almost wanted to start crying. But it was so delish. I kept thinking it's subway. It couldn't be that bad since everything here is healthy...
I came home and went to look up the nutrition facts for that sub.... By the way... there's this really nifty site where you can literally go and re build your sub or salad ingrediant by ingrediant and it puts together and adds up your nutritional facts for you into one neat little label. However what my label read shocked me speachless! Over 1000 carbs for that one 'healthy' footlong sub.... No wonder I can't lose wieght. I had myself convinced subway was the healthiest fast food and delicious restaurant EVER. I'm so ashamed! I will never do that again.
