Yesterday my daughter finished her swim classes. She is able to do many things in the pool with assistance but will need to have some private lessons next month. While watching her at the rec center, I started watching the aquatics classes and found there were a couple of teachers I really liked. I am considering taking 2 classes a week. I did have a naysayer say, you need to wait because Emma will be back in school. Yes, she will. But I have to put myself first at some point if I am going to be healthier. Very frustrating. My comment was that I also want to be here to help Emma. And so I've got to make myself a priority.
Today, while reading a blog about someone's goals, they mentioned they are going to write down their rewards and how they hard time remembering to do that. It dawned on me that I also need to do that. Rewarding myself-in a healthy way-is so important. So I will have to make a list of rewards. I was always bad about rewarding myself in the past.
But for right now, I have set my POA up as follows:
Tonight I will grocery shop for my fruits to go in my shakes 2x's a day, veggies, lean meats, Ezekiel bread, natural peanut butter and other healthy options. I will have my last "bad" meal tonight-a not so good for me burger.
Starting tomorrow I will have a shake for bfast & lunch and healthy dinner. Emma & I will go to the pool for her play date (I SO detest that expression, why do you have to make a date to play???!?!?!?!?!?!). I'm not sure what kind of swimming I will be able to do but I will get some exercise! Work days will be a shake for bfast & dinner with a healthy meal and 2 snacks in btwn.
I'm excited to start making some additional positive changes. I want to be cute for Christmas
I've started thinking about going on vacation next year with a smaller body! I know I'm doing well & am on the right path if I'm thinking along these lines
