Saying no really does get easier when it really counts!!!

Friday, August 24, 2012

Although there are many things I would like to be able to do right now...I will remain patient and just thank God that I am healing and recuperating so very well. Surgery went well and I am doing great!!! I am finding it easier to say no to many things. What a difference it makes when it truly does come down to my health and true healing. Hope you are all enjoying a great week!!! I will be seeing the surgeon again on Aug. 31. I do have a few questions. My hair is growing in really fast and will need to figure out a new way to wear it. I really don't like the comb over style and it hurts to try to brush it out with a round brush. May just get it trimmed a bit shorter on the top and let it all grow in together. Just hoping it grows in curly....not straight and not solid white. What are the odds?
Missing all my friends and just a shade lost on what day of the week it is at times, Ken keeps telling me it's Tuesday and I know we have had at least three Tuesdays this week. Feel like it is Groundhog day again...LOL!!! Glad to see it is Friday!!!
Have a wonderful weekend for all those celebrating it!!!
Love to all my spark friends!!! Have a great week and remember: With God's help, you can accomplish anything you want. Just ask for His help and believe that He will...according to His promises. If you have any questions, please let me know. I'll answer as best I can.
God is great and life is grand!!! Praise the Lord for all He has done and continues to do in our lives. Trials and tribulations are minor when God is working with us and through us!!! Have faith and trust in the Lord for He knows what His plans are for each of us and what our actual needs are. Remember to hug your loved ones and share your smiles daily.
Blessings, love and hugs,

Thankful for each new day that I am given!!!
Unexpected twists and turns in our lives
God is in the "miracle" business!!!
Meg is home now and doing GREAT!!!
Shannon's eyes are continuing to heal. Another miracle!!!
Wonderful doctors and hospitals
Cleveland Clinic
Too many positives and blessings to list them all here...Praise the Lord!!!

I think we all would be better if we learned to say no more often. We do not need the stress when we try to do everything.

So glad to hear you are doing well - even with 3 Tuesdays this week!

So glad to hear you are healing well! I agree cutting your hair short and letting it all grow out at once would look nice..Interesting that curly hair feature -it happened to my Mom after her last surgery, still can't get over how curly it is when it used to be so straight!! I hope you get what you wish for and that your recovery is fast! Good for you saying no, that is very hard for a caregiver type person. My thoughts are with you..

  Hi Helen.........
It sounds like you are making a wonderful recovery. As for the days of the week, since I retired, I sometimes have to look at the calendar for sure and I haven't had brain surgery!!! You are doing great. When my SIL had part of her head shaved for brain surgery also, she cut the rest of her hair short and let it all grow together. It worked out well and she looked wonderful.
Continue to say NO and take good care of yourself.

Good to hear that you are healing nicely, I'm sure you will be able to figure out the best way to wear your hair when it grows back in all over. I'm with you on not knowing the day of the week. Since I'm not working anymore it gets very confusing!!

Take care of yourself!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
