My hands are still bugging me a bit from the surgeries in June and July so I haven't re-started the C25K program yet. I jog with my little guy in a stroller so I need to wait until I can push it consistently for at least 40 minutes before I try again. I'll give it a trial run next week to see how long I can run and to see if I can hang on to the stroller properly while jogging at my breakneck speed - haha!
Yesterday I started one of my new goals. Ten minutes of daily exercise. This is on top of my regular cardio workouts. I do lots of walking, but I really don't do anything on my "off" days. My goal is to do at least 10 minutes of strength training, pilates, yoga, belly dancing, swimming or cycling each day. I did a quick belly dancing session yesterday and today and it felt fantastic! I forgot how good it feels to practice my moves. My hips feel looser already!
Another one of my goals is a week long weight loss challenge. I haven't been consistent with my eating, so I'm going to do my best to lose a pound or two this week and to keep it off instead of losing/gaining/losing/gaining like I have been for the past couple of months. I also desperately want to fit into some of my old smaller clothes and to fit into the running skirt that I bought last month. I thought it would be the right size, but it's a wee bit tight around the top. A loss of five pounds would probably be enough to make it fit better. I'm determined to get there this time!
