THESE WERE MY GOALS FOR THE SUMMER CHALLENGE:

I'M CHANGING THE FOCUS FROM WEIGHT LOSS TO MAKING OTHER CHANGES IN MY LIFE.

THE MAIN THING I AM DOING IS WORKING ON MY PHYSICAL HEALTH. I'M ACCOMPLISHING THIS BY DOING PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR MY KNEES AND BACK ISSUES. THIS IS COMING ALONG. I NOW DO MY EXERCISING IN THE POOL SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK. I WORK LOTS ON CORE STRENGTH AND MAJOR MUSCLE STRENGTH.

***I AM CONTINUING TO USE THE POOL FOR EXERCISE. I'M FINDING IT HARD TO FIND AVAILABLE TIME SLOTS, SO I MAY HAVE TO USE THE CITY POOL. I'M OK WITH THAT. I ALSO HAVE BEEN DOING GARDENING AND YARD WORK. I WILL BE ABLE TO DO THIS UNTIL LATE FALL...THEN I WILL TRY YOGA OR CHI GONG.



I AM ALSO FINDING WAYS TO DEAL WITH MY CHRONIC PAIN. CURRENTLY I'M TRYING NEW MEDICATIONS AND A TENS UNIT.

***I'M USING THE TENS UNIT NOW AND THAT IS WORKING SO FAR. WILL SEEK OTHER OPTIONS IF NEEDED.

I'M BEING KIND TO MY BODY AND APPRECIATING ALL IT DOES AND CONTINUES TO DO FOR ME.

***I DO APPRECIATE THAT MY BODY IS RESPONDING TO THE POOL EXERCISES. I NOTICE THAT I HAVE MORE STAMINA AND THAT'S SUCH AN ACCOMPLISHMENT FROM WHERE I STARTED.

THINGS I STRIVE TO ACCOMPLISH DAILY...

GIVE GRATUITIES & PRAYER~~~DONE MOST DAYS. WHEN I DON'T I FEEL OFF, NOT GROUNDED.

EAT HEALTHY FOODS EVERY 4 HOURS---STARTING WITH BREAKFAST
~~~DONE 4 TO 5 DAYS A WEEKLY

* TAKE MEDS ~~~DONE EXCEPT FOR A 3 OR 4 DAY PERIOD LAST WEEK

* EAT AT LEAST 5 FREGGIES~~~DONE ALTHOUGH I HAD TO WORK AT THIS AT TIMES.

* 12 GLASSES OF WATER~~~THIS IS SOLID.

* 7 HOURS OF SLEEP, 8 IS BETTER~~~I STILL HAVE ISSUES AT LEAST ONE DAY A WEEK

* CONTINUE WITH MY POOL THERAPY/ EXERCISES~~~ON GOING

* SMILE AND LAUGH OUT LOUD~~~MOST DAYS!

I BELIEVE ONCE MY PAIN IS RELIEVED AND MY BODY STRONGER, MY DAILY LIFE WILL GET EASIER. I WILL DO MORE AND FEEL SO MUCH MORE ACCOMPLISHED:)

~~~THIS IS ON GOING ALSO. I AM LEARNING HOW TO LISTEN TO MY BODY BY NOT OVER DOING. IN THE PAST I WOULD OVER DO AND BE LAID UP FOR ONE OR TWO DAYS. I AM MUCH MORE AWARE NOW. SO FAR I AM BOUNCING BACK MORE QUICKLY.

~~~MY NEXT STEPS ARE TO CONTINUE THESE GOALS UNTIL THEY ARE HABIT. LOOKING FORWARD TO FALL CHALLENGE WITH MY LIMES:)

So happy you are focusing on you!

I have heard that some hotels will let you use their pools for a small fee if you find the city pool is not working. also community centers have pools sometimes~
