You might try papaya juice. It's really thick, so you may need to water it down a bit, but it helped me.

I have read that almonds and fresh mint are supposed to help with acid reflux too.

Have you tried apple cider vinegar to help with GERD, I know when I had it that is what I did and I got rid of it too. Mine started when they put me on prevacid and that really messed up my stomach. Put up with the pain and even had a heart check up to rule that out. (chest pains). I took those pills and it gave me GERD and now I will not touch them. Had to go about a month to get my stomach to work right. Just have to watch out for the rebound affect and them only take the antacids that are quick working and not those ones that shut down the stomach.

When I started losing weight through portion control, my reflux totally disappeared. Before I was on a prescription medicine (omeprozol). It will disappear once you control your meal sizes and drop the junk food. Still any junk food can cause heart burn in me, but I no longer lose sleep, nor do I have sore throat since well over a year when I started to control my portions.
