So, it's Wednesday again, and this week is flying by. I am supposed to be on "staycation" but, I ended up heading to the shore and turning it into a mini vacation lol. It's very nice! I spent all day today laying on the beach under my umbrella listening to the waves and feeling the wind. It felt great, and was exactly what I needed. I just shut my eyes, listened to my music and did - well - nothing! Perfect! No work, no interruptions, just me, on a beach. :)
I am heading down to Atlantic City on Friday, and then heading home Saturday. Then.. staycation/vacation will be OVER (SIGH!). I have also decided to shake a few things up. For one, I have been eating horribly the entire time I've been at the shore. (Can you say deep-fried oreos? OMG). This month I told myself I wasn't going to weigh in, but I knew that if I went to the shore I'd screw up, so I weighed in before I left. My goal was to lose 10lbs this month, and I was 5 down. Eh, not anything considerate, but better than nothing. I highly doubt that I've lost any more (hopefully I haven't gained anything!) I have still been getting in some exercise - hour long walks with Maxwell in the AM, and vigorous play throughout the day, but I haven't gone to the gym like I wanted to since I am out of the area and there's not a Planet Fitness in sight! I did however, take a trip to Sears and scope out treadmills. I believe I found one that I SUPER LOVE, and I will be purchasing upon arriving back in PA. It's a NordicTrack C900, and it's iFit Live compatible. It looks super cool, so we'll see. I think this will help me A LOT, since I won't have any excuse not to exercise in a day. Right now, it's kind of a deterring with the gym being 25 minutes away. Who wants to wake up at 5AM to spend more time in the car than I actually spend at the gym?
I think that I'll definitely use it. I also got a webcam to.. wait for it.. video blog! Starting in September, I will start to video blog. I think it will be a good bit of encouragement for myself to prove that I can do this. I am still in the beginning of my journey (only 26lbs lost so far), so to be able to see my face and changes in my body which I'll show on the blog, instead of just reading my words and wondering how far I've come will be huge.
In other news on the Agenda, next week I'll be leading my first "SP Class Team" with another SP member (KINEPS). As I've said in almost all of my previous blogs I'm sure, is that being active with SP really helps me. I enjoy encouraging other people, just as I'd want other people to encourage me, so wish me luck with the Team, it should be fun to meet and greet new members!
That's all for now. Tomorrow is another full beach day which I'm looking forward to, soooo, I'm off! Take care Sparkies.
