So, the scale hasn't moved. But the measuring tape has, so that's a good sign. Took an inch off of my waist and almost two off of my thighs ... so for that I'm grateful.
Been having a HORRIBLE time with shin splints. Been doing my training plan, but had to spend a small fortune this week on compression leg sleeves. That was a nightmare in itself. First of all they're $45 ... for a sleeve of nylon spandex? Are you kidding? So I get to the gym and I discover the pair I buy has one of those security tags running through it. TOTALLY annoying. So I run, my shins hurt, and the next day I go back to the sports store and they take the tag out.
Next time I run, I wear them. Except, I think I bought them too big because they don't provide enough compression ... so I run, and my shins hurt. Back to the store. Last night I bought a new set, along with a foam roller after watching a couple of YouTube videos talking about exercises to prevent and treat shin splints. So hopefully tonight my run will reflect that. Please God.
Getting a little sloppy with eating. Less quantity, more good food choices - though yesterday I ate more than I'm used to eating and paid for it later. Ugh. I still feel like a fat beast from overdoing it (chicken piccata ... yum. Cupcakes. Yum. Wine. Yum. The way I felt at bedtime = yecch).
Time to suit up, gotta do my 40 minutes of 90/180 splits
