the battle for high school jeans

I've been back at boxing for a little over 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it. Ever since I first started boxing 4 years ago I've loved. My balance and form is slowly coming back and with it my speed and power. I've done more push-ups than I had in the previous year and probably triple the crunches. I've been a little less anxious which I'm sure my boyfriend appreciates as much as I do. As icing on the cake I've lost 2 pounds and 3.5 inches off of my frame.

I'm trying to go down two weightclasses to a light welterweight (roughly 141lbs), but what I really have my eye on is fitting into a pair of jeans I have squirreled away from high school. These aren't just high school jeans. These are the jeans that I wore after my best season of competitive swimming ever. They're size 8 from before jeans had lycra and before this new size adjustment thing that happened in the last couple years. I think that would make them at least a 6 by today's sizes. Why knows why I still have them but there they are...waiting. I have a couple other pairs of "skinny" jeans to fit into before I get there but it's certainly a challenge.

    You can do this. Boxing seems like the perfect cardio for you too. I'm so glad you're happy now that you're back to it!
