yoga? stress?

So I got the spark deal email this AM about the lifetime membership to a yoga website. I'm interested, but I have not bought it yet. It sounds good.... but then I wonder if I will really use it. In theory I will, but I have had lots of plans....

Benefits of yoga that appeal to me is gaining stress relief, strength and flexibility. Anybody do yoga much? What do you think of the benefits?

I have stress. I need to learn how to manage it better. Exercise helps alot. Yoga may add.

Also, my husband finally has a day off. Earlier this week we got a notice of a recall on his car- if the airbag is triggered, it may actually send metal shards through the airbag that may kill him in stead of protecting him. I'm sure you can see why this caught my attention. He was not as moved to action.

I offered to trade cars and drop off his car for him earlier this week. He said no, he would do it on his day off- today. Today comes, and I remember- he does not. I mention it, and he refuses. So I tell him that I will take it in. I call the dealership, make an appointment this AM, and he then, begrudgingly says he will take it in. He is not pleased at all- but I'm sorry if I prefer to not have the threat of death hanging over him.

Anyway- please give me your opinions on yoga- even better if you have used this website! Thanks!

    The only yoga I did was a Chair Yoga DVD and enjoyed it very much but the OA in my back did not. It may be a great idea for you as you can probably fit some move in during your hectic day at the hospital but you might wan to take a class or try a DVD.
    Husbands can be very trying. They prepare you for having children. emoticon

    I'm so sorry about the stress you went through dealing with your husband's car recall. Obviously, you did the right thing and I'm sure he will realize that soon. Anyway, I have been doing yoga for a few years now and I can assure you that it really is a HUGE stress reliever....granted, everything affects different people in different ways, but usually yoga does help destress the people who practice it on a regular basis. There's really nothing else I can say about yoga other than, it does work really well to ease stress, so maybe you should just try it for awhile and see what it does for you.     I saw that deal, and wondered about it, since there's so many free yoga workouts on YouTube or Hula. My sister LOVES going to Yoga classes. Around her there's always a groupon deal for a month of unlimited classes for $19

    Yoga is great for stress and relaxation, there are different type of yogas for various things. I have not been able to get yoga in and I miss it. In Self Magazine it stated that September is NATIONAL YOGA month so you can look it up and it will show you where you can attend YOGA for FREE to try it out, that is another option. I saw the same email but I have tons of yoga DVDs that I can the ones I really like are the older Rodney Ye DVDs I have a VHS one and that is the best one ever, when I do at the the end I go aaaaahhhhhh.....
