Getting settled in
Tuesday, August 21, 2012
DS has a great attitude and has adjusted to his new "digs".
Granted, more students will be moving in Saturday and it
will get a lot noisier and hectic, but by then he will have
had plenty of time to move things around to suit him.
I had the dubious honor of cleaning in his "old" room and
founds lots of garbage goodies. Basically, the trappings from
the new packages of socks and briefs, intermixed with a
few empty pop cans and one lonely sock that needs to
be laundered. It looks pretty good right now.
DS2 and I worked on fixing the vent on the camper. We
had good quality time, laughing and deciding we would
leave the more complicated repairs to the guys that do
this for a living. It will suffice for the State Fair.
We have officially decreased the goat population by 7
goats. The young man came with his trailer, weighed them
(picture very buff guy holding a goat in his arms and then
stepping on a bathroom scale). This worked for the young
billies but he opted to guesstimate the weight of the old
nanny and billy. The most difficult part was trying to herd
the billy into a corner, as he is quite wild. I took several
running trips around the large lot until he finally got to
the point where we could get a rope on him. After that,
he was very docile. Go figure. Plenty of cardio with
catching the young ones and carrying them out of the
barn to the trailer. But it is done now and DS has $350
for his college fund.
Today's message on SparkCoach was the importance of a
clean and organized kitchen and fitness room. Keep utensils
close by, give yourself plenty of work space and discard
items that are outdated. Put all your exercise equipment
where it is accessible. Good common sense information.
Sometimes my kitchen is more like "organized chaos" but
tonight, it does look much better.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday. HUGS!
