Cell phones (part 2)

Tuesday, August 21, 2012

This is the ongoing saga of the cell phone situation..

We drove the 50+miles to nearest Walmarts to check out phones..We bought 2 Straight talk phones..and 2 $30 cards with 1000 minutes on each of them..not counting the cost of the phones..our service for a total of 2000 minutes is going to be $60 per month which is $30 cheaper than the plan we had with Verizon for just 450 shared minutes..So THERE Verizon!!!!!!!

I really don't like the phone as well but can text, message and even go on the internet some..with 3G data..but probably won't..but what I don't like about it is that my other was a flip phone so I didn't worry about my butt dialing someone's number when I carried it in my pocket and the other thing I don't like is that it has a keyboard you can type on and the numbers are mixed in a tiny section of the middle and third...the keys are so tiny..so guess I need to get one of those pointer things like the grandkids have for their games..And lastly we have to wait a day or 2 until they turn our service on..but the price every month is so worth all this other..and we did get cases to carry the phones so we won't dial someone with our butts...(We used to tease our kids about that when that happened to them)...We will get used to these phones..I may have to get much much stronger reading glasses..I need a cell like my picture shows with a rotary dial..

I will let you know later when they let us use them whether I like them or not.

I don't like tiny keys either. My phone is only 2G so I need to update it but it is so easy to use and Zack doesn't know how to get to the contact list even though I have told him many times so I hate to think about an update.

You will get used to the little keys! It just takes some practice. After I got my first phone, that wasn't a flip phone, I wanted to throw it out the window because I kept hitting the wrong key. It took a week or two, and now I only mess up once and awhile.
