Summer Biggest Loser Challenge with the Lemon Team

When I joined the team I was not really sure what to expect. I had joined other teams but never had been active. This team would be different as it required and expected active participation. Right from the start I felt welcomed and certainly was energized by the feedback and support. I like the fact that I knew what was expected of me each week and what goals we were working on together. Sometimes when I didn’t feel like exercising, I could picture all the other Lemons out there getting their cardio and ST and so I would push myself to do the same. I was humbled and inspired by the honesty and vulnerability of the Lemon’s in their sharing. Wherever we found ourselves…losing, gaining or stuck we were supported and encouraged to hang in there and to trust the process. I don’t think I could have found a better team to be on…my Lemon team-mates are awesome!!
So how did I do with the goals I set? I would give myself a “B”. I lost 6.4 pounds. I have kept the weight off and so even though I did not hit the 10 pound mark I am pleased with my progress. I did do some interval training on treadmill…could have been more. I did not work on the proper plank, squats and lunges. I tried new recipes but whether I did a new one each week??? I don’t have a clue.
I am glad for a little break before we begin the Fall challenge. I am going to reflect some more on what I want to aim for during the next challenge. I know that I need to increase my intensity. I am also thinking about how much cardio and strength training I want to commit to. Perhaps having an exact number will motivate to do it.
