Let's try for the 4th time...

As part of my cardio workouts I am currently working through the C25K (Couch to 5 Km) running program. I started it initially back in February this year and got through to the second week and gave up. I was complaining that my knees just weren't up to it and that I would never be a runner. I was pretty happy with that decision and went back to walking on the treadmill.

KICK UP THE BUTT TIME. Not going to get any further if I don't put the effort, sweat and tears in!!!

So about a month ago I started back up again on the program. A couple of kilos lighter and with a bit more motivation now that I have seen some results I got back on that treadmill. I still don't think I will ever be a "runner" but you never know.

Well I nearly gave up again - I got to Week 4 Day 1


Brisk 5 min walk
Jog 3 min
Walk 90sec
Jog 5 min
Walk 2.5min
Jog 3 min
Walk 90sec
Jog 5 min
and cool down walk for 5 min

I could do up to half way and then couldn't do the second half - after jogging that first 5 min session I thought I was going to die. Big emphasis on THOUGHT! Of course I wasn't going to DIE! - that was just my brain being a dictator and making me believe it. Well it has taken me 4 attempts but I finally did it yesterday - so the rest of this week's sessions are the same - now that I have done it once and not DIED! - I am sure I will complete them.
