Pilates. Holy Smokes. I feel like a wet ball of dough tonight after doing a half hour of pilates over the weekend and 20 minutes after work today. It makes me realize how crazy out of shape I am! My abs, legs, arms, and shoulders are definitely feeling it. Whew.
I read a Spark article last night about journaling, and it recommended taking 5 minutes before bed each night to reflect on your day and to write down at least five positive things about yourself. Even if it's something like, "I found my car in the grocery store parking lot," the key is to write it down. Over time, it is supposed to help you see yourself more positively. I started doing it last night. I tend to self-analyze and dwell on the things I don't like about myself, so I need to practice being more kind to me.
One thing I will write down about today was that I got home from work with tired feet (the stupid ball-of-the-foot pain has been bothering me again) and I kind of collapsed onto the couch with my laptop. I told myself that I could have 15 minutes to check email and mess around on facebook, but when the 15 minutes were up, it was time for Pilates. And guess what? I did it!
