While out for a walk yesterday, I passed a yard sale that had an elliptical trainer for sale. It was $40 - a minimal price to pay to see if it's something that I will stick with. (Of course, when I Bing-ed the brand name, it came up as a really cheap - not so wonderful machine - but hey - $40 isn't bad to start out with!)
So, I'm finding it's quite a workout - and I can't do much more than a few minutes at a time. I plan to use it as a supplement to my regular walks while the weather is still good and use it more in the winter. By then, I hope my stamina will improve and I will be able to use it for longer lengths of time.
Still no improvements on losing any weight. After talking with several women my age this past weekend, I'm beginning to resign myself that is a result of menopause and I will need to be more vigilant about my exercising and my eating.
