Week 3 Completed

Ok, it is the end of 21 day Primal challenge. What can I say.... I feel fabulous!! I am down a total of 10 pounds. Now, on to the maintenance of this lifestyle. The 21 days were not too difficult. Had a couple cravings total, but after all was said and done? I feel accomplished and pretty positive that it is something we will maintain. My husband was excited because he lost +10 pounds. I can see the difference with my teenager as well. She may have had the toughest time. She has a horrible sweet tooth and some food issues. :( But, I think this has been a positive experience for her. My BFF, who lives with us and decided to do the lifestyle as well has had a positive outcome as well. She got to really see the impact of splurging when she worked out of town for the last 4 days. She drank and had carbs a couple times. I picked her up from the airport and she said she felt fat. LOL

After going to the doctor for a follow up, I informed the doc I didn't need any more medication for IBS. I had to educate the doc on the Primal Lifestyle. She had not ever heard about it. But she supported it after seeing my weight, mood, and need for no additional meds. I have come to the realization that I am not getting nearly enough fiber. So, that will be my next challenge.

I took the teenager school shopping yesterday. I came across a pair of size 16 pants. I am an 18. But, the pants were $2.00 (JC Penny), so I had to get them. I figure I will down-size into them soon. Well, I went ahead and tried them on last night. The darned things fit! Now, the resulting muffin top was a little too much for me to feel comfortable in, but, they fit! I went ahead and tried on this other pair I bought at the beginning of the year that were too snug but were only $4.00 (Goodwill). They fit! THEN, I was like, 'Oh yeah, last month I bought a pair of XL gauzy capri pants from Old navy. They didn't fit and I never got around to going back. Good thing I didn't, because they fit too! It was like reshopping in my closet. Now, I have to find that other pair I bought but didn't fit but they were super cheap so I never wasted time taking them back..
