This last month I have tried some of my old plans to try to get back to my pre-Holland weight without much success :( I kept bopping around the 150 mark - a major panic point for me.
Saturday morning I finally had enough and decided to do the one thing I hadn't tried yet - low carb and actually tracking my food on Fitday (more user friendly for me than this site for tracking) The other thing I'm doing is stop eating at 4pm and not have breakfast till at least 10am - which give me a "fasting" period of 18 hours. Lunch has been our main meal for years now, so it's not that hard for me.
After 2 days of sticking to it I'm down 1-1/2 pounds to 148.6! yeah!! It's all the motivation I need to stick with it for the rest of the week and then another etc. I'm taking it one week at a time.

    Reading your blogs today is inspiring me. I have been trying to stop eating after dinner, which is between 4 and 6 for us. I don't usually eat breakfast before 9 or 10 AM. That does seem to help me. I am rooting for you! Keep up the good work.

    Awesome! Wooohooo to the scale moving for you!!! Thanks for sharing. I am still considering extending my fasting period too. I might try 16/8 a couple times a week if I stop making progress. Trying to finish reading up on IF a little more before though. But so far it has at least made me more aware of my normal nightly fasting time :-)

    I am just so happy for you! I know how good that feels. I hope you have found a solution for knocking off those vacation pounds. I know I will be back in Mexico doing the same thing as I am trying to watch things but for sure eating out more than normal and lots of social things. Today we went out for lunch and I had the grilled portabello mushroom sandwich with goat cheese and sauteed onions as well as some googy sauce. I had a few really good homemade fries as well. But again did not partake in beers at lunch....woo hoo! Tomorrow night we have reservations at my stepson's friends place that has been ranked as one of the best places in Seattle and she will cook us a special meal that I know will be full of calories. Lots of butter and salt. It's one of those places where it's almost impossible to get in so she is reserving a special table for us. Will be fun.

    I am soooooo happy for you!!!!!
Finally, and I know how frustrated you were!
I seem to be stuck too, so I am changing things up with getting back to my smoothie a day! AND..I discovered something that makes them taste even better. I put mint leaves in with the Kale! YUM!

I also "fast" on my run days. I don't eat before the run and then have my protein shake afterwards.
