Willing to Push Yourself?

Monday, August 20, 2012

I spend a few minutes each morning looking for my inspiration.
It's my personal motivation gives me my daily boost.
Today I'm trying to get back to reving my engines and moving forward.
I found this great article
My Favorite line:
"What do all people who achieve true excellence and consistently high performance have in common?

The answer isn't great genes, although they're nice to have.
It's the willingness to push themselves beyond their current limits
day in and day out,
despite the discomfort that creates,
the sacrifice of more immediate gratification,
and the UNCERTAINTY they'll be rewarded for their efforts."

And on that note...the weather is Great today and I intend to push myself to do at least 30 minutes of exercise and start this week off with a bang.

How's this for my new motto....No Push? Big Tush!

Have a great week emoticon emoticon

"Minimize temptation" here in lies my problem area. Time to refocus and remove that which is determined to slow me down.

GREAT motto, you've got me chuckling out loud over here!
If you watch "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition", you see that the trainer, Chris Powell, is constantly trying to make his contestants uncomfortable on purpose. He's constantly telling them that they need to learn to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. I think that's a good life lesson for us all!

I love your new motto. One of my favorite things is when I do a particularly hard workout (usually one with a lot of squats) and I feel it in my tush the next day. I smile and think to myself. My tush is a little bit small and a little bit shaplier than the day before.
