Last week on my climb I encountered some stormy weather. My father in law was visiting & although I know he always has the best intentions, he decided to buy not one but 2 gallons of ice cream. Yes, I should have better will power but I know that once those tempting foods enter our house, my will power is definitely compromised. That plus the other "junk" food we had, not to mention a 1/2 sheet of birthday cake for my munkchin's birthday, all brought "storm" clouds & rain to my climb.
This morning, all my guests have returned home, the birthday cake is gone, the junk food is almost gone and our lives are returning back to normal. The good news is, I maintained my weight. I was hoping for a loss my first week of the PAT Challenge I am in, but better than a gain.
So this morning it is time to dig in & continue up the mountain. I am studying for my big insurance exam that I am taking next week, but I will not let that stress lead to eating. I will take the information one day at a time to get to my goal of passing.
I can do this. After all, what typically comes after a storm...
