Does progress actually exist if you can't see it?

Monday, August 20, 2012

I've been doing relatively okay since I put the scale out of sight, though I'm still anxious about whether I'm losing or not. When I took my measurements I'd lost inches in a few places and gained in others (though, unfortunately, my neck and arms remained the same). I know that I need to track different things than just the numbers, and I'm trying to not run back to the scale for validation (or, more likely, proof that I'm right in thinking that I'm failing) but it's been a struggle lately. I've been exhausted almost every day, not sleeping well, alternating between being ravenous all day and having severe nausea/no appetite... I don't know what's going on with me. :(

I think if it kills you to not have the scale, use it. Professionals suggest that we look at measurements instead of just the scale. But if the scale makes you comfortable seeing the number go down, why not use it!

Cut out all sugar. You will be amazed at how you are getting messed up by sugar.
