I realized a big deterrent to my success in the weight loss part of my program has to do with my sugar addiction. While trying to get my calories under control, I'm going to try the SparkPeople article plan for eliminating sugar cravings. I think that'll probably help get my calories down while accomplishing the other goals at the same time. On the positive side, all my exercise is dialed in, and I've been really good about staying within my goal calories for about 8 days straight!

Doing the suar buster method really helped. I lost 5 lbs in 3 months by doing it, where I was super-stalled before, and I'm no longer a slave to sugar! I knew there was something to that!

I struggled with this too, I settled on giving myself 1 bite, when I felt like icecream I would have 1 spoonful just to get the taste, or If I wanted chocolate I would have 1 square. Usually the cravings are just for the taste rather than because you're hungry.

Stay with the plan! Give yourself some wiggle room. If you plan a small sugar break, you won't binge big later. emoticon
