Note To Self: Never Sleep On Your Exercise Mat! And Finished Closet Pictures

Sunday, August 19, 2012

Oh, yeah, I got a nice soft blanket put down on the exercise mat that I rolled out on our hardwood living room floor. I got a quilt to cover up with, and my pillow. AAhh, this is a piece of cake, not bad, kinda comfy, I will sleep really good all night here.
Two hours later, hips are hurting, I am freezing from the breeze from the open windows, (55 Degrees out) not used to sleeping in a different room, and the cat is walking all over me.
Okay, let`s go sleep on the love seat. So I took my pillow and quilt and snuggled in. Love seat is really short, so I`m hanging off. Cat is on patrol and jumping on and off me, getting up on the back of love seat and lurking there, staring down at me. Love seat is getting shorter it seems. Cat pounces on my chest, puts front paw in my mouth and starts purring like I haven`t heard him do in years.
Finally, it`s light out, time for me to get up. I`ve been awake most all night anyway, what kind of day will I have?
I start the chicken in the crock pot before I get my coffee. Read the Sunday paper with hubby, and then Pat gets here.
I made veggies and biscuits to go with the chicken and no bake cookies for dessert. The new recipe variation for no bakes I tried didn`t make them harden up so good, so we ate our cookies out of a small dish with a spoon. I will do them my own, successful way next time.
The closet with door closed.
Inside of closet, one side for hubby`s clothes, the other side of shelves for my Crock pots, indoor grills and Temp-Tations cookware. (from QVC). Another inside picture.
The outside wall is that waterproof formica stuff that they sometimes use in bathrooms. It is my laundry and sewing room and if the cat happens to make a "mistake" it will wash right off.
So, we are quite tired and hubby has sore muscles from climbing, cutting, carrying and calculating. Pat said he`s got to go to work to rest.
Having this large walk-in closet has freed up a lot of space for me and now things are much more organized.
I will be bringing my sewing machine up from the basement this week and a cupboard with all my material in it. I will post pics when that gets done.
Now it`s time for bed....my own real bed!!!

Sorry to hear you did not have a good night sleep.

My hubby says the same thing too each time he takes vacation to work on the house - he needs to go to work to rest! emoticon

At least two exercise mats on top of each other, please - and then it's no use really... but it's worth the trouble....

My joints hurt too when I sleep on unusual places. And if I am idle too long. And if I have to many "so called" rest days from cardio.

Big job! The closet looks great - I checked out the before pics in your other closet blog.

LOL about the yoga mat. When I was young, I used to be able to sleep on the floor and went backpacking, sleeping on bumpy ground with my sleeping bag. No more! Oh, those hips!

We weren`t in our own bed because it was piled high with hubby`s clothes and other stuff and the floor was full of stuff also from moving it from where we were putting the closet. We got it all put away last night and now have our bedroom back.
