Thanks to my spark friend Pixie and encouragement from another special friend, I have started and maintained my exercise and eating right streak for one full week. Pixie has been on a streak for 172 days and has done awesome! She motivated me to start my own streak and while mine has only been 7 days, you have to start somewhere :-)
I have lost 30 lbs, but have basically maintained a weight at 30 lbs above my goal for the past couple of years. I have 30 more lbs I want to get off, but I am not going to focus on the numbers. I'm just going to eat right, try new recipes and exercise by doing something everyday. I started back at my gym last week and have worked on strength training and cardio. I find myself parking far away from my destination and running up and down the steps more. Every little bit of extra really does add up. I also enjoy walking in the evenings.
I found a recipe in this months Clean Eating magazine called Spicy Raspberry Chicken. I am making that this evening and will post pics and how it was later tonight.
I will take before pics tonight and post those tonight or tomorrow. I am ready to go!
