Swim Lesson 3

Sunday, August 19, 2012

We had another new instructor yesterday. He spent time with each of us and allowed us to practice mostly. He suggested that I roll more onto my back and take my time to get the breathing down. It was awesome how simpler this made breathing. It slowed me down and made the laps feel more relaxing too. I wasn't so out of breath when I got to the end of the pool. He also said that as I get better with that to start turning less and less until I am just lifting my face out of the water. What a difference this made!

He also took the time to teach me the back stroke. It wasn't the same as last week's "elementary" version, but the one that you see the competitive swimmers doing. Love this one too! Now I have another stroke to practice and I could definitely feel the workout!

One more lesson to go after this week.
