My theme seems to be inconsistency. I'm on - I'm off. I'm tracking - I'm not. Focused - Distracted. Committed - Lazy.
I subscribe to the iPhone app Spark Quote of the Day. Yesterday the quote was: There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something you only do it when it's convenient. When you are committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results." - Kenneth Blanchard.
I've seen this one before, but it struck me this time because that's where I've been. I became complacent, and lost my commitment and became just interested. Or, inconsistent at best.
And then there was this one this week: "Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired." Jules Renard.
I think that one was put in the cycle just for me.
I've blogged before about getting back on track, motivation, etc. Not sure where I am with this yet but I know that our busiest time of year (through March) is upon me and if I don't find a good habit/pattern/focus now I will not gain one. I lost it this time last year and it has not been easy to change.
So today, I will track again all meals, drink my water and exercise at least 30 minutes today.
