Starting the Next Chapter...

This is Lyle, first Great Grandson. He's one month old and I just returned from my first visit with him! It is always a miracle to hole a sweet new life in your arms and so life affirming.

I promised my Spark Buddy that I was going to take my 28-Day Boot Camp DVD and continue my workouts while on my trip to meet Lyle, but I missed it in the rush to get packed up. I felt so guilty until I realized that I don't think I could have used it in the heat anyway. I, who thinks 72 degrees is really warm, spent the last week where it was over 100 degrees everyday and didn't feel like it cooled off nearly enough at night. Anyway, meeting Lyle has given me new incentive to reapply myself to my weight loss and health goals... I'd really like to watch this little guy grow up! I'm very healthy and if I do what I know I should there's no reason that I couldn't be here for a long time to come... healthy, happy and enjoying the next generation of my family. Oh yeah, and I'm super grateful to be back where the temp is 55 right now and won't get out of the 60s today!!! Life is REALLY good!!!

What an alert little face! Lucky you! Those of us who live in warmer places do a lot of indoor working out in AC this time of year. emoticon emoticon HOT in Florida--but not as bad as some parts of the country!

Oh, I didn't ask about the Boot Camp because I figured you were extra busy, and if I was with Lyle, I would be too :)
We will have to make a pact together AGAIN to start over, because those 100 degree temps have been here, and I didn't do my BC either :( Plus, the heat only makes my foot swell even more, and it's just not comfortable right now...
I know you will be healthy and around a long time to see that sweet boy grow up!
Glad you had a great trip and welcome home to your garden, my beautiful friend!

He is precious. Does he live far away?
I would visit him often.

Sometimes other things than bootcamp are important, and that is surely true with a new little family member. Congrats!! You must be thrilled!!
