We did the Year Round Event today around the city of Weatherford.
It was 76 degrees when we started walking at 8:20 a.m. The walk goes up to the courthouse square.
Then it goes out to the cemetery where Mary Martin (Peter Pan) is buried. Oliver Loving about whom “Lonesome Dove” was written is also buried here. Unforturnately the gate was padlocked and we didn’t see the actual grave.
The walk then continues around town with lots and lots of beautiful old homes. A small example of the homes is included here.
It was 84 when we finished walking. We had shade probably 50% of the time but we had a nice breeze and occasional cloud cover.
