WEll the night before was very rough went to bed around 9 and at 10 there was some kind of emergency 3 doors down with 3 fire engines 2 ambulance and a few cop cars needless to say there was tons of noises. To make matters worse our little princess Abigail woke up every hour crying and want to eat so needless to say I got very little sleep. When my alarm went off I swear I had a little tear roll down my face lol. When I woke up my throat was very sore and my nose was super runny. So I went downstairs and had my waffles for breakfast and 3 litres of water and got ready to leave. This was all at 4 am. So we left at 5am the race starts at 7. I was excited for the race because I got to wear my new half Fanatic top. So we arrived at the venue and there was noone there which was weird. Then we saw 2 ladies in a little restaurant and asked them if we were in the right spot. they replied yes. We were an hour early but apparently it was a smaller race and there was only 170 runners. So we got to the start line and the gun went off. You can always tell the rookies because they sprint out of the gates and I always shake my head lol. The run was really nice very scenic and all along the river. When I hit the half way point I looked at my watch and was shocked I was on pace for 1.51 which would beat my PB. the race wasn't marked very well so it made it hard to figure out how far you had gone. When I hit mile 11 my legs started to get a bit heavy and started to get really sore. But I went to my happy place and fought threw it. When I crossed the finish line my time was 1.54.52 my 2nd fastest time of the year. My amazing wife crossed at 2 hours flat which is amazing because she was super sick!!!!!
