Applying good habits to other areas of life

Yesterday I had a great talk with a close friend of mine. We both struggle with being hot heads at home and are having bad conflicts with our spouses. We both talked about how it's affecting our children as well.

As we talked, it dawned on me that all of the work I've done with health, weight release, and fitness, are super applicable to this situation.

If after 30 years of emotional eating, I could change the synapses in my brain and develop a totally new set of habits, I can do anything!

It's time for me to give the same amount of energy, attention, and positive action to my health to other areas of my life.

I've been focusing on what I want instead and what will give me the most pleasure over time when it comes to health. These are great questions to apply to life in general.

Speaking kindly, breathing before losing my cool, focusing on the good, focusing on how I want to feel an hour after a conversation, and visualizing myself acting with loving kindness towards those around me consistently - these are great actions to take now to get myself where I want to be at home.

The lessons of SP and IOWL are great life lessons and it's time to start applying them!

    I felt the changes in all areas of my life. Just by making little shifts in my outlook. And here I thought it was all about weight loss....
