Day 18

Saturday, August 18, 2012

Busy busy day ahead today. So this blog will be brief!

I'm going to work out for 45 minutes this morning...I'm a little nervous because I haven't done that in over two months! But I think I'm ready for it.

Then I have to get to our Farmer's Market right afterwards. This is the last day they're open until September (which makes me sad) so I have to stock up on meats to get us through the next two weeks! Ka-ching!

We're meeting my in-laws for lunch today. We haven't seen them since we went for our visit in June. So I'm happy we'll get to see them again! And the kids will be so pleased too!

Then I'll be (hopefully) meeting an old friend from high-school who's visiting PA for a week. She was always such a boundless ray of energy back then...I think she still is! So it will be really nice to spend some time with her. Although seeing someone that I haven't spoken to in 20 years is sort of scary in a way too.

After that we'll be going to our local minor-league baseball team's game. We went a few months ago and had a great time. I imagine it will be equally fun tonight as well.

Needless to say I think I'll sleep well tonight. Oh! I forgot...my youngest son has a swimming lesson and we have to stop by my husband's school to pick up his newest book (he's been taking college courses for over a year - he needed a few undergraduate classes to qualify for his MBA, which he'll be ready to get into that program in a few more weeks).

So, that's it. Things are ok for me otherwise...feeling healthy and focused.

Funny thing - I decided to do a vision collage this weekend. It's something I haven't done yet and I thought it may be good to get started on that since my motivation and focus have been off a bit lately. So today's SparkCoach video specifically talked about creating a vision collage! I took that as a sign that I definitely need to get on this! I'm looking forward to doing it too.

Have any of you done a vision collage? If so, do you find it helpful?

Hope you're able to stock up from the farmers market-that's the bad things about living in areas where it snows. I'm in Western PA & I so miss all the fresh produce-now we'll have choice of pumpkins, squash etc...
I've been working on a private collage board via online on pinterest. Easier to find pictures etc... then to find ones to cut out etc... Yes I find it inspiring-especially since it's so easy to add to or change up when needed. emoticon

You have a very busy day planned!
I made a vision collage once, didn't like it and threw it away. Maybe I will try one again and see if I can get a better focus . . .
Enjoy your weekend!

I've never bought meat at the farmer's market before. Is it cheaper than buying it at the store? Then again, I guess one thing I like about the farmer's market is that (at ours anyway) there's usually someone selling grass-fed beef. And yes, you'll have to show us your collage! I'm also one that thought about doing one but hadn't gotten around to doing it yet. Have a great day!

I haven't made one yet but I keep thinking about it. If you make one, be sure to take a picture and show us how it came out! Enjoy your busy day and thank you for the spark goodie!
