Scratch that

Friday, August 17, 2012

So yesterday was my year anniversary visit for my lumbar spine surgery. The bone fusion looks good, with more bone forming in one area, the spine, than another, the disc "cage". He will look at it again in 3 months in November. I am being placed on permanent light duty restrictions. No ladders, and no lifting more than 10 lbs.

Getting to the point of my pain: Still happening.
The fact I added weight post surgery is bad.
The added weight is adding to the pain.
I know that. Nothing new.
So I have got to reign it in, and do something about it NOW.
Starting yesterday I did.
I tried some of the exercises from a sitting position instead of lying down, and got in my ten minutes that way. I still woke up again after 2 hours sleeping in pain, but only stayed up 2 hours, and managed to get a full sleep after that.
I ate healthy, and stayed in the 1550 calorie range.
My hubby is in for helping me.

On a positive note, I HAVE logged in here every day so far this month and spun the wheel.

Let's do it.

Stay motivated Deborah, I am getting back into the exercise routine and it seems to be helping. I have developed Neuropathy in my foot. I am looking in to finding a topical rub to ease it I do not want to use medications. HUGS yes you can do it, I know it is harder now but you can do it HUGS Pat in Maine.
