I haven't lost as much as I thought I had

Went back to boot camp again today. I'm still sore from Tuesday, but not enough to warrant skipping class. I was pleasantly surprised with myself. I jogged more than I thought I was capable of, and was able to keep a steady pace through most of our intervals. So while I've lost a lot of endurance, I'm not starting completely over... I'm still miles ahead of where I was when I started last fall.
Today was pure cardio, so I got a really scorching workout. It felt SO nice! However, it was very, very muggy this morning, so even though it was only 9 AM, and we were working out in the shade, it was scorchingly hot. Felt good to work up a nice sweat.
I've been ravenous all day; eating regular small snacks to try and keep the cravings down. Gotta love workout days. ;) I'm even proud that i've kept from devouring the homemade bread I baked yesterday. SO good!
I plan on one more good gym trip this week; probably yoga on Saturday.
Called my workout buddy; she's still down and out from her head cold... she's promised she'll be there Monday. I'll keep nagging her until she gets back. :) She's been a super boon to my workouts, and I love the camaraderie; and I enjoy hanging out and talking to her after we work out and she's getting ready for work. I don't have to have friends there, but I really, really like to. Adds a more social aspect to the workouts. I tend to push myself just a bit more with competition; case in point: One of the regulars joined us for our jogging intervals, and when I started getting worn out and slowing down, she tapped me on the shoulder and yelled "Come on!" So I ran just a tidge faster and finished the interval. :) I had already told myself I'd walk this one, but I ran it.
I am blessed with good friends at the gym. :) Can't get your friends to come along with you? Go anyway, and make new friends!
