This morning I went to swimming lessons and learned again how to do the crawl. Then aquacize and walking the dog. My snack a banana and peanut butter, breakfast great.
I walk into my lunch meeting and what are they serving?
Ceasar salad. Lasagna, veggie and meat, and bread covered with cheese and I do mean covered.
Not to mention squares for dessert, no fruit.
Basically I could have the diet coke.
Some of the people who attend this regular meeting are diabetics like me or they have had heart problems or they are just in the getting old danger zone. Why? why? why?
I have talked to the executive assistant before but I can see she just doesn't get it. And for many of the people, like it once was for me, this was popular.
So I had a small serving of veggie lasagna. Then was so hungry by supper that I had a *eek* mall meal --- blackened chicken, two veg and rice. I am still in my calorie range.
Yesterday, similiar deal, in that the meeting meal at a totally different place and meeting had a lot of nice cooked veggie salads. This morning my sugar was high. Realized it was the salads!
Yes they must have been full of sugar.
So I plod along, working it out. I'm going to a conference for a few days. Used to be I was all, "Free food and drinks!!" Now I just look to see if the seminar or hospitality suite will have people I need to network with, good change. I'm going to take some healthy snacks with me.
