Things have changed

Thursday, August 16, 2012

When I went to bed every night I would think about food and what I wanted to eat. A lot of the time I would get up and go to McDonalds. I would have a quarter pounder with cheese, a large fry, a large coke, a six piece chicken nugget with honey and a oreo mcflurry. Talk about mega calories. Some nights I would have half a carton of goo goo clusters ice cream and half a bag of chips. Mexican fast food some nights and this was after 3 heavy meals during the day and snacks.

Now I don't think about food at night and a lot of the time if I can't sleep and I get up and watch TV I don't eat anything. Last night my "pig out" was 2 yogurts and 2 sugar free puddings - about 350 cals - not a good thing but compared to how I used to eat at night not all that bad.

I used to only be able to walk about 10 to 15 minutes and now I walk 1 hour a day most days.

Things have changed - it's taken 6 months but it has been worth it.

I was the same... food practically called to me at night; going out to get a bottle of milk at night turned into a covert operation to see how many drive-thru windows I could hit before I'm missed.

Now, the only thing I eat after 8 o'clock is a sugar free ice pop or jello. And I'm getting used to it... and it's not so bad.

A couple of months ago, a shower was enough to exhaust me... now I'm walking 40 minutes per day and strength training.

Congrats on your major progress!!!!
