Coastal Oregon in the Summertime - photo heavy

Thursday, August 16, 2012

It is SO nice to be able to take full vacation days again! The insanity of my job appears to be over for the most part, and I don’t feel so overwhelmed coming back after taking a day off. Shoot, I’m actually working some 8 hour days again! I think last week was first week in over 18 months that I entered multiple 8 hour days into the payroll system.

Kate (KEakman) and I took this past Wednesday (since I’m so far behind on Blogging, this is now 2 Wednesday’s ago!) off for a girls day at the beach. We met up at my house and were on the road before 8. Kate had done some research, she is SO good at research, and we decided to start out at Oswald West State Park, hike the ocean side south bound, at the end of that trail cross the highway and head up Neahkahnie Mountain.

These were snapped below the parking area, before we crossed the stream to head south.

Kate snapped this one of me being silly on the suspension bridge. Loved this bridge, but more on that later.

Is it a dinosaur? or a Giraffe?

And a whole bunch of pictures of things that caught my eye!

Okay, that's it for now, watch for installment number two either later today or tomorrow.

Oh, and for those who are following my ramblings about my personal life....

(sorry Gaye, I like this name better)

Like sands through the hour glass...So are...

The Days Of Robin's Life

Fabulous dinner out with Mr Nike last night. Used a groupon I'd bought a few days ago to my absolutely favorite Lebannese restaurant - Habibi. He was duly impressed with my choice I do believe. Then we walked the 2 blocks to the waterfront, strolled south to the Hawthorne Bridge, and then he delivered me back to my car. A nice evening getting to know each other just a little bit more.
