Update and Never Quit Pledge

Yesterday was a challenging day. No other way to put it. I appreciated the early morning easy run with my running partner but I never really got very perky or peppy yesterday. After two days of heavy workouts I suppose I needed a lighter day. Maybe it was the weather (it was cloudy and rainy), maybe it was the tired body or hubby's absence, but either way, I was down and overwhelmed about all the details of life ahead. I didn't need to be overwhelmed, but I was.

I did manage yesterday afternoon to work out flower planning with our youngest daughter for her wedding in December, I picked up the supplies for a party I am helping with Friday night, and made it home in time to make dinner for son and my sweet grandson who came over for supper last night (mommy was out for the evening). I went to bed early thinking the rest would do me good.

In the middle of the night the nagging heel pain that I have been ignoring was pretty intense, so opted to rest today completely. I always feel a little guilty about that, but it is for the best. Today the heel pain is gone, so will continue to stretch it, ice it, and massage as needed.

I will post my stats from yesterday on tomorrow's post. For now, I will post the pledge that SP friend THINRONNA posted. I don't normally do these kinds of things, but this pledge is something I can committ too.

Today, I promise I will not quit.

I pledge that no matter, how many ups and downs I pass through, I will continue on my journey.

I pledge to make a NEW START today, and forgive myself for my past, and to stop being so critical of myself.

I pledge to take control of myself, to stop making excuses, and stop blaming other people or situations.

I pledge to treat myself as I would my best friend, because that is who I am.

I pledge to stay in the race and to be a WINNER!

    Your evening sounds so nice! I am glad you are taking a rest to recoup. Please go to see the doc if your heel doesīt improve though...take it from me, you donīt want to get badly injured!

    Some days are just harder. Glad your heel pain wasn't a deal. Heel pain can be very annoying.
