You never know how your actions will affect others... sometimes what seems like a small, inconsequential act of kindness by you, is taken by others as profound. My son was at a metal concert last night. Being almost 6'4" and in the second row, he could easily catch things that band members tossed off of the stage. He caught a pick when the band members all tossed them at once. He then noticed a woman about my age on the floor desperately searching for a pick that may have fallen to the floor. He gave her the pick he caught and was shocked when the woman burst into tears and hugged him. Her husband explained that their son, who is in the army, had purchased the tickets for this concert. Then his deployment date had been moved up and he was unable to attend. His parents promised to send him something from the concert. Mike caught her three more picks and an armband...
